News. Basically Vivendi have been trying to sell Activision off for a while now, but companies that can afford it are uninterested, and now due to not wanting to wait any longer they will be forcing Activision to pay moolah to their shareholders(Vivendi own 61% of Activision's shares, so this is essentially just profit).

Personally, I don't know how much Activision have to toss at the big bully. I am waiting to reserve judgments and predictions about this until it actually happens, but I thought it would be interesting to hear everyone's thoughts on this.
Assuming they don't go near bankrupt and get sold: I think that they will not discontinue their "big three" (COD, WOW, Skylanders) and will gradually get a bit of cash back. But that they won't be as huge as they were before.
If they go bankrupt I think that they will disappear within a year or two like the companies they have eaten alive, unless they fall into very lucky hands willing to feed them for their creations.
Also, I now have a new least-favourite game publisher. Welp.
I will say this, I hope that a GOOD company, who cares about games being fun, buys them, because they have a lot of great but milked or unrealized IPs(*looks at lack of Spyro/Crash games for years, Blizzard world-building talents, Skylanders*). I realize that many workers are going to lose their jobs now, though, and this is an as--- um, I mean, a donkey of a move for Vivendi to make. Activision is still healthy and, despite being terrible for consumers, has real people, too.
