My favorite's Lickitung.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, to much Gen 1 appreciation going on in this thread.

I propose this list for something to talk about.

First Game: Yellow

Favourites:
Pokemon: Scizor
Generation: 3, Hoenn
Type: Steel

Starters: (thanks killa-bunnah):
Gen 1: Bulbasaur
Gen 2: Chikorita
Gen 3: Treecko
Gen 4: Piplup (obviously)
Gen 5: Snivy
Gen 6: Probably Chespin (it was going to be Fennekin but I like both Litleo and Flecthling so I need a fire starter less)

Anyone notice a pattern?

First Game: Pearl

Pokemon: Psyduck
Generation: 4, Sinnoh
Type: Water

first game: red version (since the beginning )

favorites:
pokemon: murkrow (smeargle is my favorite aesthetically, but stat wise he's one of the worst there is haha)
although i have a strong affinity to raichu, i beat my leaf green using only my pikachu/raichu from viridian forest onward. that was pretty fun.

First game: Blue

Favourites:
Pokemon: Blastoise
Gen: 1
Type: Water

First game: Yellow (Telling people that the first Pokémon I ever used is Pikachu, awesome! )
Favourite 'Mon: Kabutops (I had one in my Platinum team, and didn't use it much, but it was always in my team and once I realized that I kept it and used it more and it "stuck" to me.)
Gen: I don't really have one. (1 is most nostalgic but technically worst, 2 was better but has the same problems and a tiny Kanto, 3 is nostalgic like gen 1 but for some reason I don't like revisiting it, 4 has my favourite games in HGSS but least Favourites in DPPt, and 5 had fantastic games with awful replay value like 3.)
Type: Water, I also like Ghost and Normal.

@toops Smeargle is also aesthetically my favourite. I don't battle competitively, though, so I have one of her and a Shedinja in my team as well(along with Kabutops they're my "Terrific Trio").

I love the franchise and I too, have never come across any 3DS hatred....
