Sonic Boom trailer is out now too. Knuckles looks awful

No he doesn't. He's the size and shape of a Knuckles tribe guard now, so his new design is a sign of big events to come in sonic history out of Sonic boom! Who knows, maybe he was in training all this time to become the leader of the echidna tribe guards and army and is about to be promoted to Knuckles tribe Army leader and guard boss soon!

So he grew in height? Lol

I'd believe so. I guess he grew up and matured even more since the last time we fully saw him playable in a main sonic game that he was qualified enough to earn the higher rank.

But the Knuckles tribe is dead. (Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood is non-canon.)

Guardian article here gives a few new details including the confirmation of co-op and that the gamepad will be used as a scanner in the game, think Lego City.

When he addresses the split screen problem I think he means that one player will play on the gamepad and the other will be on the TV, much like the recent Lego games.

Sonic Adventure was the only decent 3D Sonic game anyway. Chao garden FTW
