The New Crash Bandicoot Topic

Postby KyletheCartoonist » Sat Nov 09, 2013 7:50 am

The former topic has been old for a while, and with the 2016 Crash rumours, I think it is a good time to start a new topic.

I'll get things going by mentioning my experiences with the series. (Optional, not the main focus of this thread.)

Completed 100%:
Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex

Completed, but not 100%:
Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2

Still Completing:
Crash Tag Team Racing
Crash: Mind Over Mutant

Played as child (None were completed):
Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
Crash Bandicoot 3: WARPED
Crash Team Racing
Crash Bash
Crash Nitro Kart
Crash Twinsanity

Borrowed from friend:
Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure
Crash Bandicoot: N-Tranced
Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy

Yet to play:
Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage
Crash Boom Bang!
Crash of the Titans
Crash Bandicoot: Mutant Island
Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D

Also, I have a Crash forum game down in the croquet topic. Feel free to play!

I really like the old Crash Bandicoot games on the original PlayStation. Completed the second, third and CTR (not for 100%) and enjoyed them a lot! I didn't complete the first one due to the weird save system. Haven't played a Crash game after those but I do have The Wrath of Cortex on PS2 which I still have to start some day.

Wrath of Cortex was a lot like Warped, in the sense that vehicles and Coco were playable.
You should definitely try out Bash and Twinsanity, those are two of the best.

OH MY GOD, I CAN'T BREATHE!!
Sorry, lost my cool.
Anyway, I would totally purchase a PS4 if it meant more adventures with the Bandicoot.

Awesome! I'll have to keep that in mind next year. :)
Wait- Naughty Dog what about Jak 4? You can't end the franchise with a measly cart game!

^They did that with Crash, and that worked out pretty well.
Y'know, minus the whole "falling into mediocrity" part.

I'm surprised that you didn't know because that news was floating around for some time. Still, I really hope this does mean there's gonna be another Crash game and that this isn't just a tease. It's been too long since the last Crash game, I'd honestly buy a PS4 (at a discount) to play it! I just finished replaying the second game and it's still just as good as when I first played.

^You know what Crash needs? A nice RPG (Hey, I hear it worked for the "South Park" franchise). But if not, than I guess a standard Crash game would also work.
I still like how there is literally a sign that says Crash will return to Sony. That would switch me from undecided about my next-gen choice to definitely PS4.
