I don't really know what "live weather" would add tbh, I can understand power discs changing the themes to say a snowy theme but having rain/lighting etc - no thanks. All I can see it adding is lag on the game when flying/driving around.
Maybe on next generation consoles it would be a possibility with the extra power but I think it will create more problems than benefits at the moment.

Like previous posts have mentioned, live weather has been in games since the early 90s. It's even in minecraft and even the lowest of computers have no trouble rendering it. If games like Grand Theft Auto can push the limits of open world, superb graphics and gameplay, I think weather can be handled just fine in infinity with out any lag. If it can't, I'd actually be pretty worried about what other things it couldn't handle. And it would a lot of dynamics to the game, it's always fun racing through tracks when it's raining or having an epic showdown in a thunderstorm. Even if some people never use it, I'm sure there are many others that will.

^^ see I would have to disagree, when I've played Minecraft it does indeed have trouble keeping up with too much onscreen at once (Xbox 360 btw) especially when you tend to jump in a minecart and whizz around.
Hopefully infinity will run fine though, only a few weeks and we will all know for sure :)

I'm not a coding beginner, but I can't imagine that live weather would be hard to add. It's basically just adding a chance that extra graphics would appear, and those graphics wouldn't need to be very intensive to look good. It would be fun if different themes also added chances for different weathers.

... And the Sugar Rush theme totally needs to unlock chocolate rain if weather becomes a thing in Infinity 2 :D

I must say Infinity seems to lag a bit in certain aspects, but as long as it stays optional, I don't think it would be a huge issue.

^ The chocolate rain would be great! Some will stay dry, and others will feel the pain.
Also, I think weather is a good idea overall.

I asked my sister (who's knows A LOT about technology) and said it is kinda hard to make weather in video games. But I heard their was a frozen power disc for sky domes and such, so maybe you can make it snow by using that power disc!

^ this is how I think weather would be incorporated into the game. It seems kinda obvious that the power discs could control weather, like Frozen being snow.

^I agree and even then, I'd suspect it being very basic effect wise.
