Race around the cannon

I noticed in a few videos that there seems to be some kind of a launching slingshot or cannon that can be used to knock down the destructable physics blocks. If you can hit other things with said cannon, I had a thought.

A racing track around said gun. Two or three players race around the track like any other race, but the catch is that the fourth player is using the cannon. It's a standard race for the racers, whoever get's in first place wins. But if the player in the cannon blows all of the racers off the track, or keeps them anyone from winning within a certain time, THEY win.

Sounds fun!

Despite the fact that I currently am looking to the PS3 version, this game seems to be ideally set up for the Wii U.
