I swapper this a couple of days ago with my little sister. Definitely not as good as the first, but still decent and
funny enough to get by.

I'm starting to resent the Minions a bit now.

Take a look at the covers above and tell me what is wrong.

This is the problem:
The primary characters are either smaller then the Minions or not on the cover at all!

I've been suspicious for quite some time now that the merchandise is pushing the Minion angle too much and ignoring the protagonists.
Even those mini movies heavily emphasized on the cover are pushing the Minions to center stage.

Yes, the Minions are fun, but when you really get down to it, they're just Mooks (the bad guy's infinite army of lackeys).

It's inappropriate to make it appear as though the movie is all about them when really, they're just secondary characters and have very little impact on the movie.
And pretty weak ones at that, they're for comedy value only, you're not meant to take them seriously.

I'll be honest, when I watch the movies, it's Gru and his girls I want to see, not the Minions.

I like the minions but I have to agree. They're taking the minion direction too far. Infact, they're making an entire movie about the minions. I'd think it'd be more interesting to see more Gru, Lucy and The Girls merchandise.

Yes, if it's not about Gru, Lucy or the Girls, I lose interest pretty fast. :|

I wonder, are there any pictures of Edith without her pink cap?
I imagine they had to do a hair simulation of some kind before they put the cap on her head.

A movie completely about Minions.
That doesn't sound good. :?
What is it going to be about?
Jabbering puns nobody gets, infantile humor and random chaotic behavior?

I don't think I'll go to see that if/when it comes out.

I think the Minions only work when they have a human to play off against, if you remove that factor from the equation, it falls apart.
As in, you've got nothing to provide a frame of reference, so you don't really comprehend what they are doing.

It strikes me as Teletubbies entertainment, just something silly to amuse the very young while the more mature audience members are watching something else.
