What do the playsets have to do with the Toybox?

including hints, tips and glitches. any hardware, software or gameplay related questions go in this forum

What do the playsets have to do with the Toybox?

We just got Disney Infinity 2.0 for the PS3 for my family. My question is do the playsets such as the Marvel Universe one we have, anything to do with the overall toybox experience. Such as if we beat the Marvel playset are there extra things added to the toybox?

You unlock toys for the toy box as you play through play sets.

Also just placing the playset piece down will unlock some stuff as well
