No. Just keep playing around the Hub and any Play Sets you have. You unlock things as you play. Make sure you do the building and design feats.

Go to the Main St section of your Hub. On the left hand side next to the Nightmare section there is a door on the side of one of the buildings. The tutorials inside this door teach you to build and design Toy Boxes.
