Does upgrading your console mean you have to re-play?

Postby nathanbanks » Wed Dec 16, 2015 11:34 pm

Just heard (secretly found out) that I may be getting a PS4 off my other half for Christmas and was just wondering one thing!

If I purchased the PS4 edition of Disney Infinity and signed into my account on the PS4 and so on, will all the content from the game be available on the PS4 version or will I have to replay everything again?

Sorry if it's a really dumb question, it's just one of my friends that plays it said that PSN has a memory of it's own and it sometimes remembers your content carried over from certain games so I'm not 100% sure!

I just went through this moving from the Wii U to the XBox One. You have to do everything from scratch! I haven't unlocked everything I have on the Wii U yet.

I went through this as well when I switched from ps4 to Xbox One and its a bigger deal than you think, especially if you are a toybox builder. Pretty much killed my building for quite a while.

Does it mean all the 1.0 & 2.0 content is also locked?! :o

I don't mind going back because it means I'll be able to replay the playsets and such, but all that gorgeous content I unlocked will be gone :(

If you still have the playset pieces, once you place the playset piece on the base while in the toybox it will unlock them all. :)

Nathan:

Unfortunately, yeah, you'll have to unlock all the toys again. This is because the toy unlocks are managed by the save file on consoles. However, just like ccrunner524 said, you can use the playset piece to unlock all the toys from that playset automatically, which should save you a lot of time.

With that said, all your unlocked toys remain on the PC and iOS version of the consoles. That's because the game takes a look at your Disney ID to see what to unlock.

Once you add all your INF 1.0 characters and discs do you get the light saber again? Is there a bonus for all 2.0 and 3.0 discs and characters?
