Jakku Space Mission (No spoilers)

On Jakku there is a mission where you must go to space and destroy 8 targets. To achieve three stars you must use Poe and destroy the targets under 1:30. Does the timer count you while you make your way to space? I'm having a lot of trouble with this one.
I'm a big fan of Pixar and Disney Movies, and the Skylanders games. The Cars franchise and Ratatouille are my favorite Pixar movies. Paperman is my favorite thing to ever come out of Disney!
