Disney Infinity Fans

Hi could someone help me? I’ve been given a PS3 with Infinity 1.0. After inserting the game disc the PS3 prompted me to do a software update which I did and Infinity now comes up as version 02.01. However Infinity 2.0 characters come up as not compatible. Which version do I have and what’s going on? Thanks.

unfortunately characters are not backwards compatible. 2.0 characters will not work with any part of 1.0 software

You still only have the 1.0 Infinity game. The 2.01 you're talking about is simply the updated version of 1.0. You still only have 1.0 though, and will need to purchase the actual 2.0 software if you want to use the 2.0 figures. Same for the new Star Wars 3.0; you'll need to buy the new 3.0 software for any of the new Star Wars figures to work.

So i went and purchased the 2.0 disc. I've popped it in and the PS3 has come up telling me Baymax and Merida aren't compatible. They are 2.0 characters
What's going on?

Are you in the Toy Box of 2.0? Baymax and Merida won't be compatible with any Marvel playsets.

As Romulus said they need to be used in the toy box or the toy box game discs
