What am I doing wrong with the path creator?

I am making a 2d side scroller and made a straight path under my platform and everything was fine. I finished a section, but found my character couldn't go past a certain point. I realized this was because my path ended, so I selected the end point and moved it further down the road. When I went to test again, I got stopped after a few feet. It turns out that when I moved the end point the path became twisted at the beginning (it was almost like an S formed in the middle of the line). This has happened before and I am not sure whay. Help please.

Do you have more than one path in the level?

I have had issues where adding a new point to one path will actually connect it to a different path.

Paths can be temperamental!!!

I have one path that goes straight below the ground and another looped path in the sky attached to a spaceship.

Honestly, I would delete the straight path and start over. Since it is a simple straight path, it should be pretty quick.

I had to do that several times on my LMA! boxes.
