plus you cannot place the playsets on there without opening the box because it is too big.

@Mouseman I would imagine you could put the playset on diagonally so that the character is on a circular spot and the play set is in the hex spot.

Otherwise you'd be playing with the box, not the toy.

Of course!

I'm not a collectible nut.
If I buy a toy, it's coming out of the box!

Although, in some cases, like my Cars toys, I keep the molded part for a protective case.
Just to protect them when I'm not playing with them.

They are coming out of the box. I don't see the need for it to stay boxed
