So, just got Disney Infinity today!
what should I do to keep going?
I know I have a list of what I want for the game on my iPod touch but would like some suggestions to keep going.

You should get an additional Play Set. I specifically liked the Cars set.

An additional character or two would be useful, preferably Toy Box only, if you want good unlocks for Toy Box mode. I'd say Vanellope or Ralph.

Toy Story in Space, in the opinion of my sons, is the best and most fun of the add on play sets ... and i agree :D

I think likes and dislikes are so subjective; Get playsets that interest YOU. I've heard from many that they disliked the pirates playset but I quite enjoyed it though while enjoying the movies I was far from a huge fan of them.

I've only played the Play Sets included in the Starter Sets. I started with Pirates, played for about an hour, was kind of bored with it so I switched to Monsters University. I liked MU enough that I played through the entire game, excluding the bike challenges which I found difficult and had no patience in learning how to use the bike. I then played Incredibles and even got my wife to play the game with me. I finished that one, then I went back to Pirates, and have found out that I actually enjoy the Pirates play set as well. Each has it's own fun parts and frustrating parts but I've enjoyed them all.

I recommend you stay as far away from the Cars set as possible!
It's very frustrating and will give you a bad impression of the game.

I think Incredibles is the best playset, with Lone Ranger and Pirates occupying positions 2 and 3.
Toy Story in space didn't really move me, but it was pretty good, all things considered.

Monsters University was just lacklustre.
