USA Target Store Cars/Lone Ranger Playsets 50% off

Target, Walmart and Best Buy price match. TRU and GameStop do not. The Walmart must be less than 20 miles away from the store they're price matching, however.

Also, they will not price match percentages (ie, 50% off) because the other store might have a higher retail price. Luckily, in this case, the ad also states the actual price beside the percentage.

Price-matching the playsets at Target, Best Buy or Walmart should not be a problem at all. You must have an actual copy of the ad with you though. Most retailers need a copy of the ad to include with their records of the price match.

^^ @SketchFox7 ... I wouldn't get your hopes up that TRU will give you 20% AND the free figure and discs. I'm sure the coupon isn't valid with any other offer, so I doubt they'd let you do both.

TRU is usually pretty strict with these sorts of things.

The girl there said I shouldn't have a problem (the coupon, free figure & free power disc pack can all be combined online), because the $1 is only to reserve a copy of the game, you don't pay the full retail until you pick it up. She did say she wasn't 100% sure though so I decided to keep my fully paid pre-order at GameStop intact just in case the deal doesn't work because I'd rather get the free figure and power disc rather than not (and I don't do online pre-ordering because I like having the game on launch day). And even if it doesn't work for the Starter Pack I plan on then using it for the Sidekick pack anyways.

I know my local Toys R Us price matches, but they have changed this policy about 3-4 times in past two years, and there seems to be regular confusion every time.

Wow, I know where I'm going before I get my starter pack at best buy on sunday then!

I had someone check with the store manager at a Toys R Us and he said they would honor the Target add price since it has both the percent off and the original price. I would still double check with your local store just to be sure, but may be good news if Target runs out.
