Toys R Us open at 8am Sunday 8/18 Check your local store

My Toys R Us in San Diego confirmed with me over the phone that they're opening early on 8/18 for Disney Infinity at 8am. May want to check your local Toys R Us to see if they're doing the same.

(I think on some thread here someone posted about Toys R Us possibly opening at 9am, but I couldn't find that thread because "toys" "r" "us" and "launch" are all too common to search for =P)

My launch strategy:
8am Target for the Cars and Lone Ranger sets
8:30am Toys R Us for the exclusive Power Discs (if not earlier)
9am GameStop to pick up my Starter Pack preorder and mini-mag

What toys r us do you go to because I go to the one in Grossmont in San Diego. I just want to know what store you are referring to.

Mine in Mission Viejo (south orange county) said they don't plan to...but i am going to double check that closer to sunday. my stops look pretty much like yours...but im also adding our local wal mart (6am) to see if they get anything special in....they had quite a few exclusive items with skylanders...worth checking it out to see if they carry it over to DI.

Already checked, mine is opening early as well. They did for all the skylander events, glad to see they are doing the same with infinity release as well. I will be there at 8 AM (or 30 before)

MouseMan, the store I called was the one on morena. But hmm Grossmont might actually be closer, I'll check that one too tomorrow (or if you call first, feel free to post here)

Mine opens early too.

I reserved my starter pack at Target, so I'll hit there and get the 50% off LR and Cars sets, and then hoof it to TRU to grab the Power Disc Album, and maybe some other characters with the 20% off coupon.

Oceanside Toys "R" Us is opening early at 8 AM too. The employee didn't know at first and had to call the back. Upon overhearing it on the walkie-talkie, another employee asked "did she just say we're opening at 8 AM on Sunday?" And when he was told yes, he totally facepalmed. Poor guys. But yay us!

The one in Grossmont opens at 10:00 so don't go there.
