I cannot decide between Takeover & Speedway. Is Speedway sustainable like Mario Kart. Do you think people will still be playing it months from now? Thanks for any feedback.

I think Speedway is a great effort given the tools they have available in DI. The tracks are really amazing. But, as a Wii U owner, I have to say that Mario Karts is better. Speedway doesn't seem to have much, if any, difference between vehicles (in terms of performance), more limited online play, only 4 racers on Wii U (vs. 12 in MK8), plus I miss my tilt controls.

So, I think Speedway would be fine if you don't have MK8.

both are very short, speedway has 9 tracks but also has three race types, reg, battle and time trial.
I like it alot it plays more like sonic all star racing than mario kart.get both it's $20 each!

I bought speedway at retail but am holding off on takeover as it seems too much like the 2.0 discs and they're not for me. It all depends on what you like

Thanks. I think I will use the $40 towards Mario Kart or NHL 16.

Mario Kart is ace and there was a recent download from Nintendo for 8 new tracks for not much money - probably still available and well worth it. MK is the master. Still speedway will allow you to race using a character of your choice

Although this is a valid question, the real question would be do you want the unlockables that this expansion presents? Personally, I do want the Frozen stuff that it offers. I'm somewhat of a Frozen fan now.

There's actually 16 DLC tracks for Mario Kart and they are all amazing. All done the same way has the game so Half is remade old tracks and the other is 100% new. An amazing game for its first iteration in HD! I still play it often enough.

I played 1 cup of the speedway (3 tracks). I haven't touched it again since. I prefer the takeover simply because each character you play with has its own abilities and you get to experience each character's "flavor". In Speedway, everything is the same. You can play with Jack Skellington or Han Solo, it doesn't matter.

That's my opinion... but if you love DI, you need it of course! :)

^speedway isn't great, it's good for the price but it's not the expansion it could have been. It doesn't have the replay value that other games have (just not sure why though)
