Best Way to Start?

Postby Gabbnabbit » Thu Apr 11, 2013 10:50 pm

So, having recently discovered this product coming out, and having looked at the promotions and release dates (later now, grrr) and speculations as to what is included and to be released down the road, my question is, what would be the bonus figure that you would include in your startup set, if you purchased, say through Amazon?

I’m not one to get duplicates and considering I think the costs of individual figures is high given what they offer, I wouldn’t want to get the same twice.

Purchase starter set: (Jack/Sully/Mr. I) + ____?
Sidekick figures set: (Barbosa/Mike/Mrs. I)
Villains figures set: (Davy Jones/Randall/Syndrome)
Cars playset: (McQueen/Holly)

So, out of those “sets” or bundles coming out, which of the following would you choose to be included as the bonus in the starter set:Francesco, Mater, Violet or Dash? Keep in mind that if you acquired all the sets as stated above, you would have 3 figures for each set, except for the Cars one which would only include 2. I’m curious to who others would opt for and why?

That's probably a good call. I have a daughter as well, so it might help balance out the male to female ratio. Great forum btw.

Yeah, I'd go with Violet. She looks pretty awesome to play with and supposedly be a very strong character, so that will be useful for when you need one.

You should get another Cars character afterwards though.

So I would say get Violet. Then the next time you want a character get Francesco or Mater.

Also, it's hinted at that we may get another unrevealed play set at launch ;)... So keep an eye out for that...

Curious as to what the source is for Violet being one of the best characters in the game. Skimmed through the topics but couldn't (easily) find a topic discussing relative strengths/weaknesses of characters. Link anybody?

Thanks
